EDI

Buenos Aires, 2016.

Esteros del Ibera
(EDI) is an interactive installation in Buenos Aires named after and exploring the protected wetlands of the same name in northwest Argentina. A collaboration between UCLA REMAP and cheLA, EDI was built at cheLA's complex and installed at Tecnopolis, the largest exhibition center in Latin America for science, technology, industry and art.

Enabled by REMAP and Open Perception's tracking platform, OpenPTrack, EDI engages groups of visitors with video about the wetland reserve and allows them to play and explore the landscape through the POVs of individual animals, with shifting perspectives depending on the visitor in control at a particular time and the movement of the group.
